StudyGate AI turns study material you provide into structured study guides, quizzes, and flashcards. This policy explains what we handle, who we share it with, and what we deliberately leave alone.
No account required. We do not sell your data. We do not use your study material to train AI models. Your material stays on your device and only reaches our servers when you tap Generate — and it does so with your explicit action.
StudyGate AI is an educational productivity tool. It analyzes the study material you give it — text you paste or a PDF you import — and generates a structured Study Guide: an overview, key concepts, important details, key terms, relationships between ideas, and potential exam questions. Pro adds self-testing features.
The core loop is: you choose the material, you decide when to process it. We do not collect study material proactively, and we do not build a profile of what you are studying.

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photo library, precise location, or browsing history.
No IDFA. No advertising or marketing SDKs. No analytics SDK that profiles you across other apps. We are not asking for permission to track you, and the app does not use App Tracking Transparency.
Material you paste or import is processed locally on your device. Reading it, previewing it, editing it, and checking length limits all happen on-device.
Your material is transmitted to our servers only when you tap Generate Study Guide. At that moment we tell you it is happening, and the transmission is limited to producing your guide.
We use your material to generate your Study Guide and for no other purpose. We do not use it to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI model. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for anyone else's purposes.
Generating a Study Guide requires a large language model. StudyGate AI uses Google LLC as its AI processing provider, using Google's Gemini API.
Your study material is transmitted to Google only to generate the study content you requested. We use Google's paid API tier, under which Google does not use your content to train or improve its own models. We do not permit our AI providers to use your material for model training.
We configure our services to limit retention where the provider makes that option available, and your material is processed transiently to return your result rather than stored as a working copy.
Google processes the content submitted through the Gemini API to provide the AI processing service described above. This processing is performed in the United States.
We will notify you in the app before your material is sent for generation.
Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment card details.
StudyGate AI uses RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements — it verifies whether you have Pro access so we can unlock paid features. Subscription and purchase-related information may therefore be processed by Apple and RevenueCat.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store account settings.
Apple may provide us with crash reports and diagnostic information so we can find and fix bugs. This is limited to technical information about app performance and does not include the content of your study material.
We do not use third-party crash-reporting, advertising, or cross-app tracking analytics SDKs. We do not use App Tracking Transparency.
ON DEVICE Your study material and generated guides stay on your device. They are not deleted by us — they remain until you remove them, clear your cache, delete the session, or delete the app.
IN TRANSIT Material sent for generation is processed transiently to produce your guide. We do not use it for model training and do not retain it as a working copy beyond what's needed to return your result.
SERVER Anonymized aggregate statistics, free-tier counters, and crash reports provided by Apple are retained for as long as needed to operate and improve the service. We do not store your study material on our servers.
Servers processing limited technical data are located in the United States. AI processing for your Study Guide is performed by Google LLC in the United States.
Because we do not require an account, we have no account to delete. If you want the server-side identifier associated with your device removed, email us with the request.
StudyGate AI uses artificial intelligence to generate study guides, quizzes, flashcards, and other educational content.
AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors.
You should verify important information against your original study materials, textbooks, course materials, or instructor guidance.
StudyGate AI is an educational productivity tool. It does not replace your teacher, instructor, textbook, course materials, or other authoritative educational resources.
We design StudyGate AI to avoid inventing facts that aren't in your material, and to flag material it considers uncertain. Those are mitigations, not guarantees.
Do not rely on StudyGate AI as your sole source for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical information.
StudyGate AI is intended for students and adult learners — high school, college, university, self-directed learners, and exam preparation. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us study material or personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to production systems is restricted to those who need it and protected by multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we don't claim otherwise.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Some regions (including the EEA, UK, and California) grant specific rights.
To exercise any of these, email us. We respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where the change is significant, notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use StudyGate AI after a change means you accept the revised policy.
